2013 Ultimate Ascent

ULTIMATE ASCENT is played by two competing alliances on a flat, 27 x 54 ft field. Each alliance consists of three robots. They compete to score as many discs into their goals as they can during a two (2)-minute and fifteen (15)-second match. The higher the goal in which the disc is scored, the more points the alliance receives.

Robot: Orion

Awards: Engineering Inspiration Award (2), District Winners(2), FIRST Dean’s List Finalist (Boyang Zang), Entrepreneurship Award, Championship Division Winners 

Events Attended: Kettering University FIRST Robotics District Competition, West Michigan FIRST Robotics District Competition, Michigan FRC State Championship, Curie Division, Einstein Field, Indiana Robotics Invitational, Kettering Kickoff

Schools: Salem High, Canton High, Plymouth High

Milestones: Prior to Build Season we hosted our first FIRST Tech Challenge event. Won our first event ever at Kettering University. Went on to win our 2nd district event and our division at the Championship, making it to Einstein for the first time.
